BigBux Review (2026): Mystery Boxes Tested by Our Players

BigBux Review: What Our Testers Found (2026)

BigBux is a mystery-box site, not a sweepstakes casino. You open boxes for physical items, then keep them or sell them back for site balance. Four of our reviewers tested it: three were given free boxes at sign-up, and the format split them sharply.

Not a sweepstakes casino. BigBux sells mystery boxes directly. There are no Sweeps Coins and no free-entry route beyond any free boxes it offers, so it is listed in our Pack Openings section, not our casino rankings.

What we liked

✓Free boxes at sign-up: three of our four testers got them, worth about $1.60 to $2.50
✓Unwanted items can be sold back for site balance and used on another box
✓Battle mode, where two players open boxes head to head, was the feature our testers rated highest
✓A free daily box is offered

Watch out for

✗Not a sweepstakes casino: no Sweeps Coins and no free-entry route beyond the free boxes
✗Hard to learn: our testers found no clear instructions, and the FAQ was hard to reach
✗Item valuations can sit above retail. One tester found a $23 product valued at $42
✗Our testers did not complete a redemption, so we have no payout timings to report

What BigBux is

BigBux is a mystery-box, or unboxing, site. You open boxes that contain physical products: phones, VR headsets, watches, cosmetics and collectibles. You can keep an item or sell it back to the site for balance, then use that balance on more boxes and games.

It is not a sweepstakes casino. There are no Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins, and the paid side of the site is a direct purchase of boxes. That is why it sits in our Pack Openings section rather than in our casino rankings.

What our reviewers found

Four members of our reviewer panel tested BigBux in October 2026, from Pennsylvania, Florida and Kansas. None completed a redemption, so this review has no payout timings.

Sign-up was quick for everyone. Testers registered with Google, Facebook or email, and none was asked for ID.
Three of four got free boxes. Sarah P. (Pennsylvania) opened three free boxes worth $1.60 in total. Joshua E. (Florida) received about $2.50. Shenecca F. (Pennsylvania) reported no free credit at all and would have had to buy a package to start.
The format split them. Katelyn V. (Kansas) scored it 9/10 and liked the chance at "genuinely cool prizes", but found it one-note. Joshua E. scored it 3/10 and found the layout confusing.
Battle mode was the highlight. Sarah P. called it her favourite: you and an opponent open boxes at the same time and the higher value wins both.
Be careful with Deal. In Deal you name a price for an item and spin for it. Sarah P. found a blush BigBux valued at $42, with a best-odds offer of $38, selling for about $23 at a regular retailer.

Using it

The free boxes pay out vouchers, not cash. To use them you select the voucher and choose Sell, which adds its value to your balance. Our testers say the site doesn't explain this, and that its FAQ links were hard to reach because the page kept loading more boxes as they scrolled.

There is also a free daily box (BigBux says it can pay up to $50), a Super Spin game from $0.25 a spin, and a Draw game with a $10 minimum entry.

Worth knowing

Because BigBux sells boxes directly, it does not run under the no-purchase-necessary rules that sweepstakes casinos use. Check the site's own terms for where it is available and what age it requires before you buy anything. If you want a free-to-play option with prize redemption, the sweepstakes casinos in our main rankings work that way.
